Another potager style vegetable garden, this one designed by prominent Hudson Valley author and gardener Lee Reich for a Bethel family, became my responsibility to assist the owner in expanding and maintaining in 2010. It has been a pleasure to work this garden, with everything is in its right place, the beds clearly delineated and accompanied by a detailed planting plan each year. The variety in this garden is astounding. Perennial grapes, raspberries, blackberries, asparagus, herbs and flowers hold their place while a rotating cast of veggie characters occupy different niches in the garden each year.
